Ingredients
For the Wings:
• 2 pounds chicken wings
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Korean Sauce:
• 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup honey
• 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
• 2 tablespoons sesame oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
• 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
• 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Wings
• Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
• Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper, and toss them in a bowl with vegetable oil to coat evenly.
Step 2: Bake the Wings
• Place the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
• Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
Step 3: Make the Korean Sauce
• In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
• Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently, and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
Step 4: Toss Wings in Sauce
• Transfer the baked wings to a large bowl.
• Pour the Korean sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
Step 5: Serve
• Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
