- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey, to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Fresh fruit (such as bananas, berries, or mango, for topping)
- Chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts, for topping)
- Extra shredded coconut (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Combine Ingredients
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, coconut milk, shredded coconut, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
Step 2: Cook the Oats
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are creamy and have absorbed most of the liquid.
Step 3: Serve
- Remove from heat and portion the coconut cream oats into serving bowls.
- Top with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and extra shredded coconut if desired.
