  • 4 ripe mangoes (peeled and diced)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness of mangoes)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Pinch of salt

 


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mango Puree

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, sugar, water, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or spice level by adding more sugar or chili powder as desired.

Step 2: Freeze the Sorbet

  1. Pour the mango mixture into a shallow, airtight container.
  2. Place the container in the freezer and freeze for about 4–6 hours, or until the sorbet is firm.

Step 3: Serve

  1. Before serving, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop into bowls or cups.
  2. Optionally, garnish with additional lime zest or a sprinkle of chili powder for an extra kick.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing flavors.
