Slow Cooker Candied Cinnamon Pecans Recipe

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

 


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, water, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugars are dissolved.

Step 3: Add Pecans

  1. Place the pecan halves in the slow cooker and pour the sugar mixture over them.
  2. Stir well to ensure all the pecans are evenly coated.

Step 4: Cook

  1. Cover and cook on low for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent burning.

Step 5: Cool and Serve

  1. After 2 hours, spread the candied pecans onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool.
  2. Let them cool completely before serving or storing. The pecans will harden as they cool.
