Ingredients
For the Chicken:
• 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
• 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
1. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken thighs to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden brown color. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
2. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Bang Bang Sauce
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime juice until smooth and well combined.
Step 4: Coat the Chicken
1. Return the cooked chicken thighs to the skillet. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the sauce and allow the flavors to meld.
Step 5: Serve
1. Serve the Bang Bang Chicken Thighs hot, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired. This dish pairs beautifully with steamed rice or a fresh salad.
