Sautéed Mushrooms with Spinach Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms (sliced, such as cremini or button)
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional, for added flavor)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish, optional)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Heat the Oil

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 2: Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet.
  2. Sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are browned and tender.

Step 3: Add Garlic and Spinach

  1. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  2. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the spinach is wilted.

Step 4: Season and Serve

  1. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar for added flavor.
  2. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
