- 1 lb smoked sausage (such as kielbasa or andouille, sliced)
- 4 cups green cabbage (shredded)
- 1 bell pepper (sliced, any color)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces.
- Shred the cabbage, slice the bell pepper and onion, and mince the garlic.
Step 2: Cook the Sausage
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and heated through.
Step 3: Add Vegetables
- Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
Step 4: Season the Stir Fry
- Pour the soy sauce and sprinkle the paprika over the mixture. Stir well to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5: Serve
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot.
