Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies (crushed)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate coating)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
- Sprinkles or crushed Oreos (for decoration, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Oreo Mixture
- In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Alternatively, place them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Step 2: Form the Truffles
- Scoop out small portions of the Oreo mixture and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
Step 3: Coat the Truffles
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. If desired, stir in the vegetable oil to thin the chocolate.
- Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, letting the excess drip off. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 4: Decorate and Serve
- Sprinkle crushed Oreos or sprinkles on top of the chocolate before it sets, if desired.
- Return the truffles to the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes, until the chocolate is fully set.
- Serve the Oreo truffles chilled and enjoy.
