No Bake Peanut Butter Treats Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
• 2 cups rolled oats
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds for added crunch


Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Ingredients
1. Combine Peanut Butter and Sweetener: In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Stir until smooth and well combined.
2. Add Oats and Vanilla: Add the rolled oats and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir until everything is evenly mixed. If you’re adding nuts or seeds, fold them in at this stage.
3. Incorporate Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Step 2: Form the Treats
1. Prepare a Baking Dish: Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. Press Mixture into Dish: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula or your hands to press it down evenly and firmly.

Step 3: Chill
1. Refrigerate: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the treats to set.
2. Cut into Squares: Once chilled and firm, remove the treats from the dish using the parchment paper (if used) and cut them into squares or bars.
