Step 1: Prepare Ingredients

Step 2: Cook the Base

  1. Combine Sugar, Butter, and Milk: In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, unsalted butter, and milk.
  2. Bring to a Boil: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  3. Boil: Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute without stirring.

Step 3: Mix in Remaining Ingredients

  1. Remove from Heat: After boiling, remove the saucepan from heat.
  2. Add Oats, Coconut, Pecans, Vanilla, and Salt: Stir in the rolled oats, shredded coconut, chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
