- 1 pint cherry tomatoes (or grape tomatoes)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
- Fresh basil leaves (about 20 leaves)
- Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
- Extra virgin olive oil (optional, for drizzling)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Toothpicks or small skewers (for assembly)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Rinse the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry.
- If using mozzarella balls packed in water, drain them and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Step 2: Assemble the Bites
- Take a toothpick or small skewer and thread a cherry tomato, followed by a basil leaf, and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used.
- Place the assembled Mini Caprese Bites on a serving platter.
Step 3: Drizzle and Season
- Generously drizzle balsamic glaze over the assembled bites.
- If desired, drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the top.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Serve
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving.
