Mini Caprese Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes (or grape tomatoes)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • Fresh basil leaves (about 20 leaves)
  • Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional, for drizzling)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Toothpicks or small skewers (for assembly)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry.
  2. If using mozzarella balls packed in water, drain them and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 2: Assemble the Bites

  1. Take a toothpick or small skewer and thread a cherry tomato, followed by a basil leaf, and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used.
  2. Place the assembled Mini Caprese Bites on a serving platter.

Step 3: Drizzle and Season

  1. Generously drizzle balsamic glaze over the assembled bites.
  2. If desired, drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the top.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving.
