  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage (crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef (or diced ham)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Tortellini

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the tortellini to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (usually about 3–5 minutes for fresh or 7–9 minutes for frozen). Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Meat Mixture

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the pepperoni, cooked Italian sausage, and cooked ground beef. Cook for about 3–4 minutes until heated through.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and let cook for another 2–3 minutes.

Step 3: Combine and Bake

  1. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet with the meat mixture. Gently toss to combine, ensuring the tortellini is well coated with the sauce.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  3. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Alternatively, you can transfer the mixture to a baking dish and broil in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve hot.
