Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Tomatoes
- Wash and slice the tomatoes into wedges or chop them into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large bowl.
Step 2: Make the Marinade
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Marinate the Tomatoes
- Pour the marinade over the tomatoes and gently toss to coat them evenly.
- Let the tomatoes marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. For best results, marinate for up to 2 hours.
Step 4: Serve
- Before serving, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Enjoy the marinated tomatoes as a side dish or topping.
