Maple Chicken Bacon Sliders Recipe

  • Author: I
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 slider buns
  • Lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional, for serving)

For the Maple Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Cook Chicken: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.

Step 2: Cook the Bacon

  1. Cook Bacon: In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Step 3: Make the Maple Glaze

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.

Step 4: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Add Maple Glaze: Pour the maple glaze over the cooked chicken in the skillet, ensuring the chicken is well coated. If desired, place the skillet in the oven for 5–10 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  2. Slice Chicken: Once the chicken is done, remove it from the skillet and slice it into smaller pieces to fit the slider buns.
  3. Build Sliders: On each slider bun, layer a piece of chicken, a slice of bacon, and any optional toppings like lettuce or tomato.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Enjoy: Serve the sliders warm with extra maple glaze on the side for dipping if desired!
