Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Season the Chicken: In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
- Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Broccoli
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add Broccoli: Add the broccoli florets and chicken broth to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
Step 4: Combine Ingredients
- Return Chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
- Add Lemon: Pour in the lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine everything. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld.
Step 5: Serve
- Garnish: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Enjoy: Serve warm on its own or over rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
