- 1/2 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
For the Tomato Cream Sauce
- 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Feta Burgers
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Step 2: Cook the Burgers
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the burger patties to the skillet and cook for about 4–5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Tomato Cream Sauce
- In the same skillet (you can add a little more oil if needed), add the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly thickened.
Step 4: Serve
- Place the cooked feta burgers on plates and spoon the tomato cream sauce over the top.
- If desired, garnish with fresh basil before serving.
