Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
• Salt and pepper (to taste)
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/4 cup honey
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
• Chopped green onions (for garnish)
• Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Salmon
1. Season Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
1. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using) until well combined.
Step 3: Cook the Salmon
1. Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
2. Add Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is golden brown and easily releases from the pan.
3. Flip Salmon: Carefully flip the salmon fillets over and pour the honey garlic sauce over them.
4. Cook Further: Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Step 4: Serve
1. Plate the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a serving platter.
2. Drizzle Sauce: Drizzle any remaining honey garlic sauce from the skillet over the salmon.
3. Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
