Honey Butter Glazed Carrots Recipe

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish (optional)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Carrots

  1. Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks or rounds, about 1/4-inch thick for even cooking.

Step 2: Cook the Carrots

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add the carrots and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp.
  3. Drain and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Honey Butter Glaze

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Once the butter is melted, stir in the honey until well combined.
  3. Add salt, black pepper, and ground cinnamon (if using). Stir to combine.

Step 4: Glaze the Carrots

  1. Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and toss them in the honey butter glaze until evenly coated.
  2. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the carrots to absorb the flavors and become slightly caramelized.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Remove from heat and transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme if desired.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!
