Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Carrots
- Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks or rounds, about 1/4-inch thick for even cooking.
Step 2: Cook the Carrots
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
- Add the carrots and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp.
- Drain and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Honey Butter Glaze
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Once the butter is melted, stir in the honey until well combined.
- Add salt, black pepper, and ground cinnamon (if using). Stir to combine.
Step 4: Glaze the Carrots
- Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and toss them in the honey butter glaze until evenly coated.
- Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the carrots to absorb the flavors and become slightly caramelized.
Step 5: Serve
- Remove from heat and transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
