- 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour)
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Step 2: Bake the Bread
- Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 3: Cool and Serve
- Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy: Slice the banana bread and enjoy it as is, or spread with nut butter for an extra treat!
