Ingredients
• 8 oz (225g) noodles (such as rice noodles or egg noodles)
• 1 lb (450g) beef (such as flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
• 2 cups broccoli florets
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon water
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
• Green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Noodles
• Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Beef
• In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and a pinch of pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: Stir Fry the Broccoli
• In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
• Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4: Stir Fry the Beef
• In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
• Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 5: Make the Sauce
• In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
• Return the cooked beef and broccoli to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles.
• In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), cornstarch, and water. Pour this mixture over the beef, broccoli, and noodles, tossing to combine and coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 6: Serve
• Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
