Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steaks
- Season the Steaks: Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 2: Cook the Steaks
- Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the Steaks: Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter
- Add Butter and Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Prepare the Cream Sauce
- Add Cream and Parmesan: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5: Serve
- Slice and Plate: Slice the rested steaks against the grain and arrange them on plates. Drizzle the Parmesan cream sauce over the top.
- Garnish: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
