Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Cook the Salmon
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and cook for about 4–5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice and dried parsley, cooking for another minute.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
- Add the cooked salmon back to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Cook for an additional minute to warm the salmon through.
- Plate the salmon and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
