Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond flour (or any flour of choice)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup protein powder (chocolate or vanilla flavor)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (or honey)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted (or unsalted butter)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit.
Step 3: Bake
- Pour Batter: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay for fudginess).
Step 4: Cool and Serve
- Cool: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and Enjoy: Once cooled, slice into squares and enjoy your fudgy protein brownies!
