Frozen Chicken Blueberry Pup Pops Recipe

  • Author: I
  • Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken (no seasoning)
• 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
• 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
• 1/2 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened and non-fat)
• Optional: 1 tablespoon honey (for dogs over 1 year old)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
1. Cook Chicken: If you haven’t already, cook the chicken (boil or bake) until fully cooked. Let it cool, then shred it into small pieces.
2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine the shredded chicken, chicken broth, blueberries, yogurt, and honey (if using). Blend until smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Fill the Molds
1. Pour Mixture: Pour the mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays. Leave a little space at the top, as the mixture may expand slightly when frozen.
2. Add Blueberries: If desired, drop a few whole blueberries into each mold for added texture and decoration.

Step 3: Freeze
1. Freeze: Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until solid.

Step 4: Serve
1. Remove from Molds: Once frozen, carefully remove the pup pops from the molds. If they are difficult to release, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds to help loosen them.
2. Enjoy: Serve these delicious pup pops to your dog as a refreshing treat!
