Easy Honey Barbecue Chicken Bites Recipe

  • Author: I
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
• Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated.

Step 2: Make the Honey Barbecue Sauce
• In a small bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce and honey until well combined.

Step 3: Bake the Chicken Bites
• Place the seasoned chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
• After 10 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush the honey barbecue sauce generously over the chicken pieces. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Step 4: Serve
• Once cooked, remove the chicken bites from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
• Serve warm as an appetizer, or with rice or salad for a complete meal.
