- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans, optional)
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows or crushed candy canes (optional, for added texture)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pan
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
- This prevents sticking.
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
- Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Step 3: Add Flavorings
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Mix until well combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts, mini marshmallows, or crushed candy canes for extra flavor and texture.
Step 4: Pour and Set
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Step 5: Cut and Serve
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Cut into small squares or rectangles for serving.
