- 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup jalapenos (fresh or pickled, diced; adjust to taste)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Optional: 1/4 cup crispy bacon bits
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- If not using pre-cooked chicken, cook chicken breasts in boiling water or bake them until fully cooked, then shred or dice.
- Dice the jalapenos and chop the green onions.
Step 2: Make the Salad
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Add the shredded chicken, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions to the creamy mixture. If using, add the crispy bacon bits.
- Gently fold all the ingredients together until everything is evenly coated with the creamy dressing.
Step 3: Chill and Serve
- Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or in a wrap. Enjoy the spicy, creamy goodness!
