  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried thyme)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Once the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the chicken breasts.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to burn it).
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 4: Combine and Serve

  1. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them.
  2. Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes to reheat.
  3. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Serve the creamy garlic butter chicken breasts over pasta, rice, or with steamed vegetables.
  2. Drizzle extra sauce on top for added flavor.
