Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
Step 2: Make the Muffin Batter
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and orange zest. Whisk until well blended.

- Fold in Cranberries: Gently fold in the cranberries.
Step 3: Prepare the Streusel Topping
- Mix Streusel Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, softened butter, ground cinnamon, and chopped nuts (if using). Use a fork or your fingers to mix until crumbly.
Step 4: Assemble Muffins

- Add Streusel Topping: Sprinkle the streusel topping generously over each muffin.
Step 5: Bake
- Bake Muffins: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the tops are golden brown.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
- Cool: Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve: Enjoy your Cranberry Orange Muffins warm or at room temperature.
