- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
- 1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for added richness)
Notes
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Step 3: Bake the Brownies
- Pour Batter: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Step 4: Cool and Serve
- Cool: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut and Enjoy: Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your cosmic protein brownies!
