Lavender Simple Syrup Ingredients
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Lavender Simple Syrup
1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and dried lavender over medium heat.
2. Dissolve Sugar: Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture comes to a simmer.
3. Steep: Remove from heat and let the lavender steep for about 15 minutes.
4. Strain: Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds. Allow to cool before using. Store leftover syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Step 2: Prepare the Mocktail
1. Mix Ingredients: In a shaker or jar, combine fresh lemon juice and lavender simple syrup.
2. Add Ice: Add ice and shake or stir until chilled.
3. Strain: Strain into a chilled glass.
Step 3: Garnish and Serve
1. Top With Sparkling: Add sparkling water or sparkling lemonade.
2. Garnish: Garnish with a lemon twist or sprig of lavender.
