Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large croissants (preferably day-old, cut into chunks)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
- Fresh berries (optional, for serving)

- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Prepare the Croissants
- Tear or cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.
Step 3: Make the Custard Mixture
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissant pieces, pressing down gently to ensure all pieces are soaked.
Step 4: Add Chocolate

Step 5: Bake
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
Step 6: Serve
