Cheesy Breakfast Sliders Recipe

  • 12 slider buns (dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls)
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage (crumbled)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your choice of cheese)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped, optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted, for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Egg Mixture

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using) until well combined.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, scramble the egg mixture until fully cooked. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Slice the entire pack of slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  2. Place the bottom half of the buns in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer the scrambled eggs evenly over the buns, followed by the crumbled sausage and shredded cheese. Sprinkle chopped green onions on top if desired.
  3. Place the top half of the buns over the cheese.

Step 4: Brush with Butter

  1. Brush the melted butter over the top of the slider buns for added flavor and a golden finish.

Step 5: Bake

  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  2. Cut the sliders apart and serve warm. Enjoy!
