Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2: Make the Cake Batter
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 5: Assemble the Cake
- Layer the Cakes: Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate frosting on top.
- Add Second Layer: Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides with the vanilla frosting. Use a spatula to create a smooth finish or decorative swirls.
