  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
  • Chopped nuts (such as pecans or almonds, optional for topping)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2: Prepare the Toffee

  1. Melt Butter and Sugar: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter and brown sugar together. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Add Vanilla and Salt: Once boiling, let it cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Step 3: Coat the Pretzels

  1. Arrange Pretzels: Place the pretzel twists in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Pour Toffee Over Pretzels: Drizzle the toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels, making sure to cover them as much as possible.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Bake Pretzels: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbly and the pretzels are golden brown.
  2. Cool: Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. The toffee will harden as it cools.

Step 6: Break Apart and Serve
