Ingredients
For the Pizza:
- 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (bulk or casings removed)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2–3 large eggs (optional for topping)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: Prepare the Biscuit Crust
Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
Flatten each biscuit with your hands or a rolling pin until they are about 1/4 inch thick.
Place the flattened biscuits on a large baking sheet, pressing them together to form a crust.
Step 3: Make the Sausage Gravy
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine, cooking for about 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens (about 5–7 minutes).
Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
Step 4: Assemble the Pizza
Pour the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust, spreading it out to cover the surface.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the gravy.
Step 5: Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Optional Egg Topping
If desired, crack the eggs on top of the pizza during the last 5 minutes of baking.
Return to the oven until the eggs are set to your liking.
Step 7: Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Slice into squares or wedges and serve warm.
