- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 lemon (sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or fresh if available)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2: Prepare the Baking Dish
- Line Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
Step 3: Prepare the Salmon
- Season Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then sprinkle with minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add Lemon Slices: Top each fillet with lemon slices.
Step 4: Bake the Salmon
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Step 5: Serve
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
