Baked Salmon with Lemon Recipe

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or fresh if available)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Baking Dish

  1. Line Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.

Step 3: Prepare the Salmon

  1. Season Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then sprinkle with minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add Lemon Slices: Top each fillet with lemon slices.

Step 4: Bake the Salmon

  1. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Step 5: Serve

  1. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
