Baked Lemon Garlic Salmon Recipe

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Lemon slices (for serving, optional)

 


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Marinade

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Marinate the Salmon

  1. Arrange the salmon fillets in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
  2. Pour the lemon garlic marinade over the salmon, ensuring the fillets are well coated.

Step 4: Bake the Salmon

  1. Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).

Step 5: Serve

  1. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley and additional lemon slices if desired.
  2. Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
