Baked Ham and Cheese Rolls with Honey Mustard Sauce Recipe

  • Author: I
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

For the Rolls:
• 1 package (about 12 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
• 8 oz sliced ham (deli ham works well)
• 8 oz sliced cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your choice)
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
• 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional, for topping)

For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
• 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Rolls
1. Unroll Dough: Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate it into triangles as indicated on the package.
2. Add Ham and Cheese: Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the wide end of each triangle. If using, spread a little Dijon mustard on top of the ham.
3. Roll Up: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up towards the point. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3: Bake the Rolls
1. Add Toppings: If desired, sprinkle poppy seeds on top of the rolls for added flavor and texture.
2. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 4: Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce
1. Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Step 5: Serve
1. Cool Slightly: Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving.
2. Enjoy: Serve warm with the honey mustard sauce for dipping.
