Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants Recipe

  • Author: I
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large croissants (preferably day-old for better texture)
  • 6 slices of ham (deli-style, or your choice)
  • 6 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your preference)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish, optional)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the Croissants

  1. Carefully slice each croissant in half horizontally without cutting all the way through, creating a pocket for the filling.
  2. If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant.

Step 3: Assemble the Croissants

  1. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese inside each croissant. You can add more than one slice if desired.
  2. Gently press down to close the croissants.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Place the assembled croissants on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 5: Serve

  1. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley over the croissants before serving.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy.
