  • 1 pound asparagus (trimmed)
  • 1 pound jalapeño peppers (halved and seeded)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Toothpicks for securing

 


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prepare the Fillings

  1. Mix Cream Cheese: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.

Step 3: Assemble the Appetizers

  1. Stuff the Peppers: For jalapeño appetizers, fill each half with the cream cheese mixture.
  2. Wrap the Ingredients:
  • For chicken or turkey pieces: Wrap each piece with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  • For asparagus: Wrap each spear with a slice of bacon.
  • For stuffed jalapeños: Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a slice of bacon.

Step 4: Bake the Appetizers

  1. Place on Baking Sheet: Arrange the bacon-wrapped items on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and cooked through, and the filling is hot.

  1. Cool Slightly: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
