Bacon and Cheese Loaded Hashbrown Waffles Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
• 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
• 2 large eggs
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Cooking spray (for the waffle iron)


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Waffle Iron
1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2: Prepare the Mixture
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions (if using), eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 3: Cook the Waffles
1. Scoop a generous amount of the hashbrown mixture onto the preheated waffle iron (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on the size).
2. Close the lid and cook for about 5–7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
3. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining mixture, spraying the waffle iron as needed.

Step 4: Serve
1. Serve the loaded hashbrown waffles warm. Top with extra cheese, sour cream, or your favorite toppings like avocado, salsa, or a fried egg.
